Like any moment of creation, taking a photo is a mixture of presence and absence from oneself;
a sort of floating and intense presence at the same time.
I trained my eye and my sensitivity in the footsteps of some of my elders.
They gave me my first camera, an Agfamatic 508 Pocket.
Photographing is like painting, composing in a frame, but in the moment.
As Martine Franck says:
`` A photograph is a fragment of time that will not come back. ''
It is this poetry of the ephemeral that touches me.
We are engaged with the time that unfolds in a moving composition.
"The composition must be one of our constant concerns,
but when it comes time to photograph it can only be intuitive, because we are engaged
with fleeting moments where reports are in move. ”
